Happy Pink Saturday!

Welcome to another Pink Saturday, and my third involvement in this delightful blog activity, sponsored by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. I would love to post this on Saturday, but just cannot keep up with everything since I've been sick, plus most of you are three hours ahead of me! I designed the above image by using some beautiful scrap booking pictures that my sister in law, Margaret, gave to me. I'm trying to play around with all the stuff in my computer, instead of just "wasting" it by not using it! I got the lovely pink rose from a public domain and I used the cutter in my software program to trim around the edges, and then I put it on top of this exquisite lace doily. Please click on all pictures to enlarge and see the detail!

Today was a very special day. Nellie, on the left, and her best friend Samantha, on the right, heard the postman knock on the door, and another huge package was delivered. Their Mummy seems to be on a shopping frenzy of some kind. Ever since January, large, medium and small packages keep getting dropped off at the house. Lo and behold, the box contained a gorgeous wicker table and chair set! The darling chairs each have a floral padded pillow. The lovely tablecloth and lemonade set was bought last year, before Mattel Co. retired everything to do with Samantha and Nellie, two American Girl dolls from 1904. Even Nellie arrived in a huge box last fall, and Samantha has her best friend with her for all the adventures she hopes to share in the coming year. They started off on the right foot by settling down and decorating the table with the lemonade set, and even made PINK lemonade to drink! It was a gorgeous sunny day, and felt a tiny bit like spring.

Here is a close up of the delightful pink tea time the best friends shared. The pink cake was handmade by a dolly friend on eBay.

Afterwards, the friends shared a few stories from Mummy's antique book, which just happens to be a beautiful pink. They hoped you've enjoyed these few photos from their happy day! One more thing before I take a break for my pink lemonade...I thought the image of the girl on the pink book would look very appropriate on the lace doily, so I cut her out using the program, and added her to the doily along with two of the roses. If I had known how EASY this is to do, I would have tried it years ago! I hope you enjoy it! I titled it "Dreaming"...which is what I do every Saturday when I visit your pretty blogs!

Your American Girl dolls are adorable. The wicker table and chairs, the pink lemonade, the pink cake...are great props. And the things you're making are wonderful. I especially like the girl from the book in the middle of the doily. Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi Loretta, hope you are doing better today.
Sorry for the belated comment but my laptop crashed Saturday night and my hubby sent it to the laptop emergency room!
