Lady Diana; 20 years ago....

I will never forget the disbelief and grief I felt on hearing that Lady Diana had died in a stupid and senseless car crash, due to a drunken driver.
It took me years before I even began to believe it. I thought that there was some conspiracy to get rid of her, but no, it was simply a horrendous act, and she should never have got into that car. But then, she should never have married Prince Charles, in my opinion. Poor dear Diana.
I'll never forget her.

The Prince and the Princess on Tour in Canada

The young Royal family visited British Columbia Canada from September 23 to October 2, 2016.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate) brought their darling children, Prince George and  Princess Charlotte with them. Of course I didn't see them in person, but the internet is marvelous for photo opportunities.
These photos were found on Pinterest, and were taken by various photographers at Government House in Victoria on Thursday, Sept 29th.

Balloons and farm animals were the order of the day.
I love the expressions on little Charlotte's face.

She is just so adorable.

Little Prince George isn't far behind.

Princess Charlotte reminds me of Queen Elizabeth II.

She sat on the patient dog!

I love the clothes that she wears.

Princess Charlotte loved the balloons and spoke her first word in public: pop!

The children were seen three times; when they landed, at the party, and when they left from Victoria. It was a real treat.

Happy 90th Birthday, Queen Elizabeth!

For my whole life, Elizabeth has been the Queen of Canada.
Some think she shouldn't be. But I'm rather traditional and I have British blood, so I like the monarchy. Plus someone has to be in charge.

I'm not very fond of Prince Charles. I can't forget how he treated Lady Diana. But of course, it doesn't matter if we like them or not! I wonder when he will finally be King. Then there is Prince William who I've watched grow up, and now I'm enjoying seeing his darling little son, Prince George.

I cheerfully saved all these images from the internet. Aren't they delightful? I also splurged and bought two items from the Royal Mail.

This is one of the most adorable photos I've seen.
Isn't it priceless? I think Queen Elizabeth looks great for 90!
The children are:
Her youngest grandchildren on the left:
James, Viscount Severn and Lady Louise, the children of the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
Mia Tindall (holding the Queen's handbag) daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall.
Savanna and Isla Phillips, daughters of Peter and Autumn Phillips.
