Happy Easter!
We had a lovely long weekend.
Here in Canada we get Good Friday off, and Easter Monday.

I understand Friday, but not why the Monday is called Easter Monday!
Marie and Ashley created these pretty little edible baskets.
They had a brownie baked inside a tart; yummy!
I noticed the beautiful egg cup decorations on top of this fireplace
in Marie's family room; but I didn't notice the new fireplace!

Marie has had major renovations done to her house, and I don't
think I spotted everything!
Doesn't it remind you of Martha Stewart's ideas?
Everything was sooo pretty!
(the dishes are a wedding present to my parents in 1955;
Marie inherited them, and uses the set at Easter)

and asked if we'd like to come over for dinner at his place.
This is the 1st time we've been invited over so of course we said yes!
The dinner was scrumptious:
Brandy Cream Chicken served over rice, with hot cross buns from
Stewart's baker for dessert. Yummy!

I thought I left a comment, but in my rush I probably just clicked it away. :) Very nice pictures. I love the Easter basket brownie tarts. Do you have the recipe?
That china pattern is the same as my Mom's (married in 1952). My sister Jeanena has inherited it.
Looking at your son cooking, I remember your husband's cooking in the kitchenette at campmeeting when he was a bachelor. He always had the most delicious looking food that he cooked on the old woodstove. Oh the memories.........
