Memory Monday...9 years ago...

These photos were taken in March 2001. I've noticed that I rarely post about Matthew, so it's time I began. We bought our digital camera in 2001, so all other photos of Matthew have to be scanned in, and you know what that means. The picture above shows Matthew, age 12, helping me with shopping. We're setting out on an expedition to the mall, only 10 minutes from our house by Skytrain, so named because it's mostly built above the ground on a raised track. It's also driverless. This is our Collingwood/Joyce Station which was built in 1985, twenty five years ago. Let me assure you, it absolutely changed our neighbourhood!

This is Spring Break, March 2001. We visited Robert's family in Barriere that year, and I'm so glad we did, as Mum passed away only 6 months later. Here we're having lunch in Kamloops, probably at White Spot. Matthew always enjoyed traveling.

At the rest stop half way to Barriere. There's often snow in this area, which is why we rarely visit my in laws!

Robert and his younger sister, Margaret.
I wonder if any of my Houben relatives ever look at my blogs and see themselves here...

Here's Robert's Mum, Ruth Houben. I still miss her very much. She was a kindred spirit.

I enjoy seeing your family photos. The old pictures of my kids are mostly slides! And I've had a box of photos (pictures of the kids with Santa) sitting here for most of the last year. I meant to scan them after last Christmas. I hang them on the tree each year and their starting to show their age.

Lovely photos. Everyone keeps telling me how time flies, as your children start to grow up. I'm starting to see that now. Isn't it wonderful to have these photos!

What a sweet post to return to your blog and see Matthew and your mom and you and everyone else! Of course, Chatty too!

Will you be selling any calenders this year? Did you ever have a chance to finish my dolly hankie dress?

Life has been good! I'm working at Michaels just for the holiday season and I love it. It has inspired me to craft in the wee hours of the morning making fairy furniture and gnome matchboxes etc..etc...

Thinking of you and happy I stopped by! Come visit me sometime on my blog, I miss hearing from you.

I definitely do look at your blog, at least once a week to see what you've been up to.
Did you get any snow today? We did. I'll post some pictures later if it doesn't melt too fast.
