These photos are from our recent trip to Vancouver Island on April 3, 2012.
We stopped in Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula when we got off our ferry at the Swartz Bay ferry terminal, and on our way back to the ferry. These photos were taken on April 4, Robert's birthday.
We drove around and discovered this cove just off Amhurst St. I don't know the name of the cove so I will call it Amhurst Cove. We didn't drive to Weir's Beach in Metchosin this time as we wanted to see other things and it was FREEZING COLD as if it was December. Ack!
We were struck with the beauty of this cove. I would like to live here. I love Sidney just as much as Victoria in fact maybe more as it is less crowded. Victoria is turning into a large city and it has lost 90% of the charm it once possessed.
Robert is contemplating turning 53.
Wouldn't you like to explore?
Tulips in Sidney.
Mmmm...Lunn's Bakery in Sidney. Yes, we tried the chocolate and it was delicious.
Roseabella, the cat in Beacon Books who loves me.
Sidney is also known as booktown. We love browsing bookstores. This time I remembered my list and I bought four books on this trip. It was a delightful get-a-way.

Hi Loretta,
The cove is beautiful. I don't think I've ever been to Sidney and Sannich.
