Christmas Eve 50 years ago!

50 years ago this evening I received a Canadian blonde bob Chatty Cathy doll.
(made by the Dee & Cee doll company)
I loved her to bits. I played with her very carefully, but over time her talking mechanism ceased to work. She was stored for many years in her original box, and came with me when I got married in 1982. She moved from apartment to house to house, and in 2002 I re-discovered Chatty Cathy on eBay and bought a second doll; the blonde bob reproduction Chatty from JC Penny, produced in 1998.
I will never forget that Christmas Eve so long ago.

My sister, Leona, also got a Chatty Cathy doll; a brunette Canadian baby doll.
Her doll said different things than mine.
Our parents spoiled us with a doll tin house, complete with plastic furniture for every room.
I hope your Christmas will be as happy as ours was back then!
Merry Christmas!

It's late, but I hope you had a Merry Christmas. Enjoyed your pictures. Do you still have that Chatty? Did you do that first picture with PicMonkey? That's good.

I think it was 1964 that I too received my chatty for Christmas, but me being the little sister with my sister four years older, I received Chatty Baby. A blond in the same red outfit as your sister's. Unfortunately my playthings were not kept up with, but giving away or something.....I can't remember. The last doll I received for Christmas at age 12 was a Chrissy doll by ideal, the doll with the growing hair, but not the baby one. Hope your new year is very blessed my friend. I plan to write you more dolly letters in the new year. Blessings
