The day has arrived!

Hmm...I feel quite excited, and Matthew does too! Robert is contained in his emotions, and the dog is very perturbed with her ears laid back. She absolutely hates the sight of suitcases. There are a hundred things to do at the last minute...laundry, hair washing, notes to be written, garbage to put out, etc and my own travel notes to double check. Would you believe that I nearly forgot to print out all my notes for England and Wales that I had carefully researched and saved on my computer? Yes indeed...I always said I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached. I have them in a special cardboard folder in my suitcase. I double checked online, and all that's showing in Stratford Upon Avon on July 25th is "Henry IV Part II". We've decided we don't want to see a part 2 of anything, so we won't be going to a great Shakespeare play. Alas. I assumed there would be a Macbeth play or something interesting. I'm sure there will still be a lot to see there. So we are going to see "The Mousetrap" in London instead. I've always wanted to do that too! My parents are coming to take care of the dog. My sister will take care of her too so she will not be lonely. Paul, my nephew, has promised to mow the lawn! Robert mowed it this morning before it got hot. Yes, it's hot here at last, just as we are about to leave for the monsoon rains of Europe! So, until Friday or whenever I can find a computer again, take care! I'll miss you all, but hope to see a lot of comments to cheer me as I work my way around Europe!

Missy and I watched your plane in the sky (probably not but it was a plane at about the right time...LOL) and she was standing on the lawn swing yelling "bye Auntie Retta" and jumping up and down...did you see her waving? Best to say yes!! haha Hope you find a cafe when you get there and let us all know how the trip over went! Hugs, Linda

OK...hopefully you've had some sleep and it hasn't been in the middle of the day and you're adjusting well to the time change. Forget your tea, drink some strong coffee and start blogging! Have fun, Betty

Kelsie played with the garden hose herself since no one else would do it...

I can't find thur to add a comment to, so i'll put it here. K is just fine, wagging tail and trying to sit in my lap - mission not accomplished. ash and jam did not make it due to jam's weak stomach, poor boy. I can hardly wait to see them here in this big house, we're going to express ourselves with paint. not on the walls - on canvas...I played with K and the hose. quite wildly. we had to wash our feet off afterwards Hot! upstairs! but cool, sweet collness, down. Moved our belongings over, bec I work and leave the house at 7 am...
