A grim day

The snow is melting rapidly and that makes me so happy, but on the other hand, I woke with a bad migraine at 5 am. That's not a good way to begin the day. I've suffered with migraines since age 12. I believe that stress and hormones cause mine, and maybe certain foods which I've never really tracked down. I'm sure this migraine is due to the bad news about my dear father in law, Tony Houben. He's had diabetes for around 8 years, and he had a 7 bypass heart surgery done in 2002. He developed circulation problems in his legs a few years ago, and last year he got gangrene in his toes.

I won't go into that dreadful story about the wait for 2 years to see a specialist, but he did have some toes removed in November. His right foot didn't heal and on Tuesday it was removed, up to the middle of his calf. I just found out about this a few minutes ago. I'm feeling ill and green today.

Please pray for him and our family. It is greatly appreciated. I don't feel like posting a picture of anything today. I'm trying to trust in God and I do know that He does hold us in His hands, and that all will be well. I know that this life is full of tribulation but that His grace will carry us through. I long for the streets of Heaven and to be in that place where all tears will be wiped from our face.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4

Loretta, I'm so sorry to hear about your father-in-law's health problems. I'm praying for strength for all of you and healing for him.

Hi Loretta, just a note to say dad is doing well. The pain is already less than it has been in months and the doctors plan to fit him with a prosthesis and say before too long he will be walking!
We do anticipate he will be in the hospital a while though... it's early days yet - not even a week since the amputation.
