Memory Monday...20 years ago today!

Twenty years ago today, at 7:52 am, our little son was born. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz. After being in labour for 12 hours, all through the night of Feb 8th, the nurse discovered that he was in a breech position! I was rushed into surgery at 7 am and I thought for sure that I'd never see Robert again!

All went well, and when I came to, the nurse told me I had a healthy baby boy. I absolutely refused to believe her! I was positive I'd have a girl. But when I first saw Matthew, and he looked at me, I didn't really care what he was! He was better than 10 girls to me!

He turned out to be our one and only, although we did want more children. The past 20 years have been fun and so interesting, getting to know Matthew John Robert. I've cherished each day that we've had together. I'm glad I was able to be a mother at least once!

Happy birthday, Matthew! May you have a fantastic year as you begin your 20's!

Happy Birthday Matthew!
Hi Loretta! I was off for a week from blogging, but am back now. You had asked where I got my background for my blog. I picked it out from Karen over at "The Background Fairie". She's on my blog list. She has some beautiful ones to pick from and they are free. Also she has instructions on how to put it on your blog.

Hi Loretta,
Aww!! Aren't sons great? Daughters are wonderful but there is just something about a son's relationship with his mama!
Beautiful picture - Happy Birthday Matthew!

I am so glad you stopped by to say hi the other day - it's nice to meet you! Looking forward to getting to know you better by catching up on your blog.
Blessings to you,
Kymber
