My favourite pink things

Welcome to another Pink Saturday! Please visit Beverly's place for the full list of all things pink! This little girl staring at the bluebirds, dressed in an adorable pink romper, is circa 1930's. I bought it a few years ago, as a print just like it used to hang in my maternal Grandmother's home in Amity, Oregon. I always loved it.

Here is one of my favourite dolls; little Georgia, by Mary Engelbreit. Isn't her hat and dress just darling?

This little Patsy doll reminds me of my mom in the 1930's era. I love her bobbed hair. I named her Susie.

This is a shepherdess figurine I purchased at the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum on the Rocky Ridge Farm in Mansfield MO. I'm an ardent fan of Laura's Little House books, and I was thrilled to visit her home that Almanzo built for her in MO, back in 2002. If you've read the books, you'll know that the little shepherdess was brought out after every move Laura's family made, and set on the mantle or a shelf when everything was unpacked.
I hope you enjoyed my pink things!

What a beautiful print. How lucky you were to find one just like your grandmother's. I didn't realize you had so many other dolls besides Chatty! And that figurine is wonderful. Happy Pink Saturday!

Loretta, I forgot to mention the fruit basket question. No, My sister made that one but I have made many for special events in the past. I'm glad you like it.

Your PINK Saturday post is darling. I enjoyed gawking at your pictures. If I ever saw a print like that I would buy it in a minute. It is one of the most precious pictures I have ever seen. And your dolls--PRECIOUS!

I am a MO resident, but sadly, not one who has read the L E Wilder books. I didn't KNOW about her home in Mansfield, Mo. I love the meaning of the little shepherdess and I can see why you bought it.
I also so enjoyed your other PSat. shares!
Hope you have a great week! Dana
