Pink Saturday!

I enjoyed my first pink Saturday so much last week! I'm posting this at 8 am; I can't get up any earlier on Saturday, and I want the post to show today and not on Friday. (I'm very particular, tee...hee)

Thanks to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this fun day! I didn't get to visit everyone; I just didn't have time! If you wish to see tons of pink please visit her blog for the Pink List.

There are so many gorgeous blogs in blogland. I'm amazed at everyone's creativity in decorating their homes. I think I'm a true "peeping Tom" of sorts...I love looking in at everyone's living rooms, hallways, kitchens, etc to see how you decorate your homes. Here in Canada we live quite simply. We have limited access to those sorts of antiques and knick knacks which you use in your home decor, so our homes don't quite look like yours! So I don't have any decorated rooms to reveal to you, and nothing that is pink in my decor, so I'll turn to nature in my first photo: This is a local salmon berry flower, found in the woods in Vancouver's lower mainland. I took  this picture last March.

These are local primula flowers which I buy each year for my potted plants, usually in January, but this year in February because of all the snow that we still have on the ground! This picture was taken at my local Superstore: (notice the lovely PINK flowers)

This is Little Bo Peep, a pale Chatty Cathy doll which I rescued and washed and fixed up from eBay. I designed and sewed her little dress and hat, and she is for SALE if any of you are interested; just leave a comment if you would like to buy her. She comes with socks and shoes, and little pantaloons with lace, and her staff and little sheep which she finally found. My eBay id is "houseofhouben" if you'd like to check out my 100% feedback and reliability. Notice that she is wearing a very PINK outfit!

I hope you all have a very PINK DAY!

What a clever idea for Chatty, but I need another Chatty like I need a hole in the head. I'm trying NOT to buy any more dolls for a while. :) HELP!

And the flowers look so pretty!

I'm a peeping Tom, too. I love to see what other people like. And I love the baby doll pictures.

Oh, how many beautiful colors God created for us to enjoy in those flowers.

I forgot to say when I saw house of Houben I was curious because Houben is a Dutch name. Many people with that name in the south. You should come back and see the rest of the country, or at least Amsterdam and Delft and such.

A rescued Chatty doll, you are talented!

What a lovely variety of flowers you have at your Superstore. I am surprised anything is blooming in Canada with the winter we're having.
