The end of 2009

Looking back over the past year...
I'm not going to forget this one in a hurry!
First there was the everlasting snow; I didn't think Spring would ever arrive, but it did, and it was a very pretty one indeed.
Robert turned 50, and in 2010 it's my turn.
He had trouble with his job, and it will take us a while to catch up on the bills.
My Dad turned 80, and we had a fun day on his birthday, on the Fraser River paddle wheeler.
We had one trip to LA in June; it was a fun time, and Linda P went with us, to make it double the fun!
I posted a great deal in this blog; 220 posts all together! I'm pleased with that, but need to buckle down in the New Year and finish my novel.
I acquired quite a few dolls, considering my lack of funds! I drained my bank account dry.
I discovered Bleuette, and my addiction is surpassing that of Chatty Cathy!
Then there was the ghastly heat of the summer months, and the monsoon rains of November.
However, I learned how to persevere in 2009, and hopefully I learned a little more of the virtue of patience.
2010 will be a year of celebration:
Besides my great Jubilee birthday, Matthew will be 21, so will Colin, Ashley will turn 16, James will become a teenager, my parents will celebrate their 55th anniversary, and it will be 100 years since the Guse/Brutke families immigrated from Russia!
There will be a lot of partying going on.
Thank you to all who have kept up with this little blog.
May God bless you in the New Year, and give you His peace.

Happy New Year Loretta! Are you really going to be 50? You're just a child compared to me. :)

Hmmm, I think I recognize that snow and the rain and the hot sun of this past summer. I love the way you sum up the year. It made me smile to think about making more of your doll collection and how it grew, even in tough times. I've been there and done that too! WE are going to meet in 2010...let it be our goal.
