Day 5 of Olympic Games...in Vancouver

On Day 5, February 16, Robert and I headed down to Vancouver, as you know by the previous post. After viewing the Olympic medals, we headed around the corner on Hastings Street to Canada's Northern House. I'd read reviews that said this was the best venue, and we agree! If you enjoy artwork and crafts, this is the place for you.
Button blanket.
Moose tufting!
The artist who made the lovely work above; each moose hair is dyed and sewn on and trimmed.
A unique piece of art.
Beautiful bead work.
Close up of the bead work.
Dyed porcupine quills on birch bark.
Myself beside a stuffed polar bear.
Robert said he wanted this photo to be taken, as their Scouting group's mascot is a wolf.

Loretta, you needed to have a really scared look on your face in that polar bear picture. He was about to get you!
Such great pictures and I love all those crafts. I can't even imagine how much time it must have taken to do all that beading. Just amazing!
I'm so much enjoying your blog with all the olympic tidbits. Thank you!
Cathy

Hi Loretta, Since I couldn't come to your house, I'm here wandering around your blog. I'm enjoying reading about the Olympics. I want to visit Vancouver and will some day but not when it's that busy. Maureen
