Memory Monday

Easter is my favourite time of the year. I love Spring and all the beautiful flowers and trees which bloom now, and the lovely light that lengthens each day. I love the little birds and the robins singing in the backyard, and I love digging in my small garden once again.

I had many happy Easter times growing up with my sisters. This is one of my favourite photos. I'm sitting in the middle, with Marlene on the left and Leona on the right. My dress was pale pink with an overlay of pink lace. My Mom always dressed us up for Sunday School and church each Sunday, and Easter Sunday we had special new purses and straw hats.

Before breakfast we would search for our Easter baskets, which were filled to the brim with goodies. I need to scan more photos of past Easters and as I do, I'll share them with you.
