Our escape to Sidney BC

We took my parents to Sidney BC for 2 nights and 3 days this week.
Here I am, holding Zoe, one of my Bleuette dolls, with my Mom & Dad in the beautiful, gorgeous, magnificent Butchart Gardens. (July 28)
I have so many good photos.
The above shot was taken by Robert, who is becoming quite adept with the camera.
We recently bought a new 12 megapixel Nikon Coolpix. It's marvelous, once you get used to using it.
Zoe sitting on a piece of driftwood just her size, at Bazan Bay.
Our lovely hotel was just across the road from this lovely view.
My parents and I just adored this place in Sidney, but Robert thought it was too chilly for sunbathing.

We went at 10 am. This is the best time to take stunning photos.
The lovely Ross fountain in the sunken gardens.
All this used to be part of a cement quarry.
Mrs. Jennie Butchart was horrified at the environmental damage left when the cement excavation, which was part of her husband's industrial plant, was complete, so she had a vision to reclaim this part of the earth and make it over into something beautiful. I and millions of visitors for the past 106 years agree that she did a magnificent job, don't you?

We spent 4 hours here, and had high tea at noon.
