I have written a few articles for our local newspaper, the Renfrew/Collingwood news.
The editor, Julie Cheng, was interested in a recent story idea, inspired by a previous article by another local writer. My Dad, Jack Williams, moved to Vancouver 70 years ago last month from the prairies.
I wrote an article with photos of a past Christmas, plus other family photos, and it was published this month.
I dropped by my local coffee shop this afternoon, and there it was in print!
It's so thrilling to see my writing in print; I really never get used to it.
I think Paul Reid, the layout person, did an excellent job with the photos.
