It was 70 years ago today that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour in the USA.
Here is a link to Ancestry.com which ends tonight...they have opened their military records archives for free, and if you have any family member who was in WWII you can see their records!
I poked around and found a few muster sheets for my uncle, Robert Albert Brutke.
I found out what ship he was on, the USS Eastland, and I also saw some muster sheets.
I'm considering getting a subscription with Ancestry next year.
They seem to have things that no one else does.
I'll see if I can find a photo of my Uncle Robert and add it here later today.
