Happy Leap Day!
These are darling snowdrops from my front garden.
Fortunately I picked them yesterday, as it snowed 3" last night and the rest are now buried.
I believe it's the first time it's snowed on Leap Day here in Vancouver.
Snowdrops are my favourite flower. They are small, delicate and exquisite with their finely drawn green lines inside the blossoms, and their yellow stamens, with another wider green line around the blossoms' edge, as if Someone had painted each little flower.
They are also the first breath of Spring.
