So very sick....

I'm sure you don't want to hear about my illness, but I was so sick I couldn't even blog. Now that's serious. I've been flat in bed, or rather, flat on the couch, since last Sunday. Each day I thought I'd feel better, and instead each day I've felt worse and worse. I finally called the doctor's office yesterday only to be told that I can't get in until Monday. I said I couldn't breathe, so the receptionist said to call back today and see if there was a cancellation, and fortunately there is, so I'm going in later to see if I have pneumonia, which is what it feels like.

If it isn't, it's something really bad. I really hate being sick for this long. I have a horrific rattling cough and congestion so that my head feels like it's about to explode. There, I knew you didn't want to hear about it! Tomorrow is one of my favourite holidays, and I cannot celebrate. The sight of food makes me ill. I'm drinking tea and honey in gallons, but hardly eating.

Fortunately I bought all my Valentine goodies 2 weeks ago. Sometimes I'm on top of things. Yesterday I received TWO packages in the mail, filled with Valentine goodies! One was from my good friend in Alaska, and made me smile. I need to take pictures and post them later. The other was from my sweet friend, Betty, who's blog is listed in my side bar. I had commented on one of her de-cluttering posts last month. She shared a photo of a box of stuff she was giving away, and I spotted an adorable pink sleigh that was Riley's size. She said I could have it, and it came yesterday, along with 3 beautiful pieces of dolly fabric, and the cutest little balloon for my Chatty Cathy doll! I just love to get un-expected packages in the mail, especially when I'm sick. It really helped cheer me up.

I knew you weren't feeling well, but I didn't realize how awful you felt. What a bummer. Hope the doctor puts you on something strong to knock it right out. Get well!!!
