Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday! I'm sorry I missed last week; I forgot to sign up! I looked at a few of the posts and enjoyed them as usual. I must say I'm becoming more addicted to pinks! In the photo above and just below, is one of my favourite little vases. It's hand painted, and I purchased it in Chraigdarroch Castle in Victoria, BC. It holds snowdrops and mini daffodils from my own garden.

The beautiful pink blossoms are part of Vancouver's spring scenery. The photos below were taken in 2006, close to our house. They bloom in early April, but this year everything is 3 weeks late, due to our horrible winter season we've experienced.

Robert and I walking our dog through the lovely pathway of trees. There is nothing more delightful than strolling through nature on a glorious spring day!

Here are pictures of a different type of tree. I wish I knew the names of all the varieties. These photos were taken at the end of April, 2006. I've seen a few of the early pink trees blooming already, near the public library in Burnaby. My heart always does a little flip when I see the pink emerging! The long hard winter is past!
I hope you've enjoyed your tour of pinks today. If you'd like to see hundreds of pink posts, please visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. She is our kind hostess of this weekly event.
Please click on all my photos to see a stunning close up with lots of detail! If you like spring flowers, please scroll down to March 23 for recent flower pictures.

All your pink blossoms are beautiful. I used to live in Blaine, Wa. Just a few miles S. of your beautiful city. I loved taking the ferry to Vancouver Island. It is Gods country up there and I was blessed to get to know it for a while!

Happy Pink Saturday!
