Yes, this is where I live. Well, close to where I live! Beautiful English Bay in downtown Vancouver. Notice the palm tree? Our son took us out for lunch at Fatburger on Denman, and the beach is a few steps from the restaurant. It was a balmy day, around 14C.
Matthew posed me beside the Inukshuk. This one was made for Expo '86, and placed on the beach in 1987. The Inukshuk is the symbol chosen for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I felt revitalized!
