Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday! I had so many responses to my last pink post; I've figured out what you like!

So join in again on another pink day, hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. I find that I'm not getting tired of pink yet, and I visited nearly all the lovely blogs last week.

To begin with, you'll need a pair of these cute boots, found in a unique shop at Granville Island. It snowed on April Fool's Day, so you'll also need a warm pair of socks. We are having two winters rolled into one!
I thought I'd share two Easter cards that I made last year. This is one of my hobbies. It's time consuming and definitely not cheap, but it keeps me out of trouble.
Now we're off on another nature walk. I love this photo, taken last April in my garden. This is a lovely blossom of my currant bush.

Now off for a brisk walk through my neighbourhood, to find more of those luscious pink cherry trees! You can't get tired of them, can you? I'm sorry I don't have any photos of this years trees; none are blooming yet, due to the extreme cold. (please click to enlarge any photo)
Well, if you're tired of cherry trees after all, come with me to a unique garden in Burnaby, within walking distance of my home. I hope your feet are still warm in those boots!
This is a tulip tree, or magnolia tree. It's very large and very beautiful.
Look what awaits us in the garden. (located at Metrotown Branch Library)
Let's pause to meditate.
Kiss of the sun for pardon, Song of the birds for mirth. You're closer to God's heart in a garden Than any place else on earth. -Dorothy Frances Gurney
Who loves a garden still his Eden keeps. -Amos Bronson Alcott

If you have a mind at peace, and a heart that cannot harden, Go find a door that opens wide upon a lovely garden.

Thank you for coming by. I hope you enjoyed our walk together!

Loretta! I was so excited to see the top of your blog ... Chatty Cathy dolls! Since my name is Cathy, of course it was the doll that I loved and carried everywhere when I was little. I had the blonde haired one and when the first one broke, my grandmother bought me another one for my birthday. Loved that doll. I wonder if the ones that you have in your collection still talk. I would think that a working one would be difficult to find.
Oh yes, lovely pink things too!
Happy Pink Saturday, Loretta!
Oh, and my grass growing how-to is here: http://cathspennies.blogspot.com/2009/03/grass-growing-demonstration-by-kaiden.html
