I had a wonderful day. Matthew came over and made a delicious pizza lunch, all from scratch. It was yummy. In the photo above you can see the little dandelion and bluebell bouquet he gave me! Afterwards we took Kelsie and went for a long walk around Deer Lake; 4 km total. It was so pretty with the new green leaves out on trees and bushes. The rhododendrons are in bloom, along with tulips and azaleas for a gorgeous colourful display. It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. I had a short snooze when I got home, and we had a chocolate fondue dessert with fresh fruit while we watched an Inspector Morse episode on TV in the evening.
We had my mom over on Friday evening for tea and chocolate cake. Leona came too and we gave her our gift of a floral summer jacket and Capri pants, which she really liked. It was a fun weekend. I think I have the best mother in the whole world. Robert's mother passed away in 2001, so I try to enjoy and appreciate my own mom as much as I possibly can.
