My little Nikon camera up and died. It was only 2 years old. The lens is stuck in the out position. I called the camera dept at London Drugs and it would cost, get this, $65 just to have someone at Nikon look at it! I nearly fell off my chair when I heard this. Plus s/h of $20. So that would be a huge total of $85 before the camera was even fixed.
You can buy a new Nikon for $130.
I don't understand why people yap on and on about Mother Earth, and taking care of the planet, and "going green" and becoming environmentally conscious, when it's less expensive to throw away cameras that break instead of getting them fixed.
Do you?

Sorry you're not feeling well. That's a bummer that your camera died. Once you start using it, especially for your blog, it's hard to be without it for awhile. To answer your question about the picture on the award...the image is not very clear but I believe it is a typewriter with words and swirls coming out of it...to represent our thoughts and words we express in our blogs.
