A new hobby

I purchased a 1916 edition of "La Semaine de Suzette" from a seller in France, on eBay.
This magazine was started in 1905. Along with the first edition was the opportunity to purchase a new doll named Bleuette. She was 11" high. If little girls subscribed to the magazine for one year, they received Bleuette for free.
Each week's edition had a pattern for Bleuette.
Needless to say, the dolls sold out very quickly, and more were produced.
Today if you try to buy a Premiere Bleuette, you will have to mortgage your house!
I have a reproduction, and of course, being the "paper nut" that I am, I had to have a few copies of La Semaine de Suzette. They are tricky to win on eBay.
I scanned these ads in today, and couldn't resist colouring them in my computer program.
It was a lot of fun.
Becassine is Bleuette's nanny.
