A Teal Project

A wonderfully kind lady named Dr. Sam provided boxes of Teal coloured fabric, trim, buttons, beads, eyelash yarn, leather and felt pieces to those of us in the BSC group who requested they would like to be a part of the great Teal Challenge.
Teal is the colour used in January to help us become aware of gynecologic cancers.
to raise awareness of this type of cancer. It was very sweet of Dr. Sam to do this for us!
I created sister dresses for my dear Bleuettes. I used a 1950's pattern for both the felt jackets and the patterned dresses. The jacket pattern was in a Bleuette Connection newsletter I bought, and the dresses were part of a 1950's pattern book I bought on eBay.
Both patterns were very easy to follow. I really enjoyed making these outfits.
The Bleuette dolls have been invited to a Grand Ball and next on the drawing board are Ball Gowns in Teal. Stay tuned!

You would like my friend Shelley (above) blog...I've been so busy with my first give away...Queens in Training I read backwards...to catch up with you. Yes, teal is good. And a very good reminder of what really is important.
