Olympics 2010; Day 2: Olympic cauldron

Here is the Olympic cauldron, which was set alight by Wayne Gretsky last evening. This is near Canada Place, downtown Vancouver, near the waterfront. Robert beside the cauldron. A security guard stands nearby. Myself near the cauldron. What you can't see are the hundreds and hundreds of people who all had the same idea to come and see the cauldron brightly burning after the Olympic opening ceremony the night before. The damp, dark, yet balmy rainy day only enhanced the glow of the Olympic flame.

Happy Valentine's Day. The cauldron looks great, I bet it is really pretty at night.
