Matthew in the high chair, conversing with Grandpa John Williams (my Dad) over a Christmas brunch of pancakes and bacon. This was in our house on Monmouth Ave and Grandma and Grandpa lived just down the street! Oh what memories this photo brings back. Matthew adored "Gramps" and they spent many hours playing cars and trucks together. I guess my Mom didn't wish to be in the picture!
Christmas dinner with Robert's family over for Chinese takeout, which is what the Houbens often enjoyed eating, plus it made it easier on me! I notice that Mum liked to hide a lot when I took photos; for some unknown reason she didn't like to have her photo taken, not even with us, and not even with her only "Houben" grandchild. I do so wish I had more good photos of her. Dad looks pretty glum too, but Matthew, me and Margaret are cheery, about to sink our forks into that yummy looking food. Look at Robert's 90's sweater...I can't believe this was 20 years ago. Oh those happy family times!
