Well, it might not look like much, but this potato was superb!
Two years ago at the PNE I bought a small plastic thing, on which you place a washed raw potato, and you cut thin strips down into the potato, and the plastic thing underneath prevents the cuts going all the way through. Then you place the potato in a buttered roasting pan, and pour melted butter over it, and bake for 25 minutes. Then you sprinkle crushed bread crumbs on top, and more melted butter, and bake another 25 minutes. Add cheese and bake 5 minutes more, and voila; it's so delicious! This is the first time I tried out the gizmo and will be doing it when I want a baked potato again, as it's easy to use, and best of all, no burned fingers; the potato is ready to eat as soon as it comes out of the oven!
